ContactNYCBikeScooter started with a simple frustration: too many electric bikes get sold on vague marketing speak - "powerful," "long range" - without the numbers to back it up. We didn't think that was good enough, so we built a lineup of Class 2 and Class 3 electric bikes where the motor wattage, top speed, and certification are stated plainly on every product page, not buried in fine print.
Every model we carry is chosen for real, verifiable specs: rated motor power, battery capacity, disclosed top speed, and UL 2849 certification that match what's printed on the page, not marketing rounding. Real pedals and gearing aren't an afterthought in our lineup - every bike here is a genuine pedal-assist bicycle, not a throttle-only vehicle dressed up as one.
What We Believe In
- Real specs, no rounding up. Motor wattage and top speed on our product pages are the manufacturer's own disclosed figures.
- UL 2849 certified, every time. Every bike we carry has a battery and electrical system tested to the US e-bike safety standard.
- Compliant by design. We're upfront about each model's e-bike class, disclosed speed, and local riding rules - no license needed, but rules do vary by state and city.
