The BN1 packs a high-torque motor into a compact frame, built for short, punchy rides rather than long-distance range: a 13Ah battery gives up to 22 miles of assisted riding. The stronger motor helps with quick getaways from junctions and short, sharp hills around town.
It's speed-limited to the UK's 15.5mph assisted limit on the road, so the extra torque shows up as pulling power, not top speed.
